A good mate of mine is not well at the moment and asked me to do some work on his WRR so I picked it up this afternoon. The work involves fitting new chain and sprockets, tightening a couple of loose spokes, stripping and checking/re-greasing the linkage bearings, straightening the sump guard which is n...
Whilest i have the wiring removed for lengthening (bars are being raised), i thought i'd chop in a push on/ push off kill switch for the head light, but which wire to put the switch in line with? I really am guessing here, but would have assumed the middle plug in the photo that came from the back of the head...
In the midst of raising my bars, i have a quick question.... Can i rotate the front brake line banjo up from the horizontal position that it is currently sat in (see photos below), to maybe a 45 degree angle or more? I'd like to tilt my brake lever down another 10mm or so, but as you can see the br...
Wr broke down today, not happy. Have tracked problem down to a dodgy repair on the Fuel Pump Electrical Connector. The connector needs replacing, it cannot be fixed. I have found some images of the connector on the net. I believe Yamaha do not supply this product on its own and no info on net. Any ideas...
Crap day trail riding. The bloody thing broke down. See what broke if you think you can help. (please) -- Edited by philmedomsley on Sunday 26th of April 2015 05:06:50 PM
I had been told that the WRR forks were known for rubbing on the inside of the fork shrouds, causing a little premature wear. Having just checked mine, low and behold, a little wear. Problem quickly resolved. 1. Take off shrouds. 2. Run a heat gun up and dow...
Okay, so i've been agonising over whether or not i want or need one of these little beauties for about 9 months, and now i shout for your 2 cents . I've realised that i never WANT to have to spend out, so guess this is a question of do i need??? I always kind of felt that it would be of use to me at high speed on the f...
New work mate talked me into an enduro play day last Sunday.......WRR did better than I. Believe it or not it was dry (in Scotland?!) but a rather large bog got the better of me. Complete lack of fitness and weight (bike not me ) were the challenges. Nothing broken on bike or body!

In almost a year that I've been out! Sad I know but trickle charge and first thumb and off she went. She is far more capable than me - 1hour of woods and I'm done! had reduced gearbox sprocket to 12 but the 43 rear - need to up it up so off to read your thoughts on that.
I'm going to kick off a new topic on cheap and sometimes even free mods . They can be useful or simply just for aesthetics. In fact just about anything goes, as long as you feel that what you have done either improves the bike or rider, and that whatever materials might be needed, can be easily and cheaply f...
A truely heart warming advert from Yamaha. It really makes the hairs on your neck stand and gives a huge feeling of happiness and smiles. When you suddenly realise that the boy playing is being fantasticly choreographed with the guy on the bike, you begin to see what a superb piece of film this really is...
Got my V11 tax reminder for the WRR and went on line to tax it only to find the MOT had expired. I looked back and found that was indeed the case and it had expired on 18th December 2013! Not sure what went wrong there as I am usually very good with logging MOT expiry dates well in advance Anyways up, a quick ch...
I wonder if we could update the look of the forum a little and maybe consider a new main photgraph to replace the showroom stock bike we currently have? Something taken in wide angle panoramic to fit the kind of sized space we have instead of the square one. Also a bike actually in action out on adventure s...
Anyone tried an Eastern Beaver Circuit Solution such as the one below? By having the one fuse block, several electrical add ons like phone/ sat nav, additional lights ect, will hook up to the busy battery terminals via only one connection, saving space. This is a US product and i'm particularly intre...

Okay, so having taken a little stick from friends, family and now the forum , it was time to prove i could get dirty with the best of them and offer up a little proof of mud. Brian having mentioned it blowing a hooligan that night and that trees may fall, i took rather lightly being all the way over in Sussex....

Bad day at work, car's broken down, fallen out with your other half, what ever the grief may be, spin this a couple of times and it will be sure to have you laughing ag...
I am Tim, a German, currently living in Vienna, Austria. I own a 2010 WRX, which became an R right at the dealership where I once bought it new. I've used the US forum so far, just now came across this WR forum and registered spontaneously.
Merry Christmas to one and all May next year bring plenty of ride time, sunshine and newbies to the forum. 2015 is to be the year of the European WRR forum! New folks, new trails, happy days

Does anyone know why this forum doesn't "remember me" when I log on? Each time I log on, I have to re enter my name and password and then always tick the remember me box. I then confirm the remember me request from my browser, but next time it's always back to the start again. My other activebo...
