Time for a fresh look?

I wonder if we could update the look of the forum a little and maybe consider a new main photgraph to replace the showroom stock bike we currently have?

Something taken in wide angle panoramic to fit the kind of sized space we have instead of the square one. Also a bike actually in action out on adventure somewhere in Europe like the ones below except of course with a WR inserted...

If anyone has the photography skills or maybe even already a potentially suitable photograph suggestion in their library/ photo album, i can imagine this would help out admin tremendously biggrin

In addition, if anyone had the design/ computer skills to give the " EURO WR250R\ X FORUM " title a spark and new lease of life, i think this fine little forum will look fresh, up to date and be ever more inviting to newbies.

Just a thought anyway. What do you guys maybe think?

On the US wr forum they use members pics  and change them every couple of weeks or so, looks good as you get to see different bikes and landscapes, just more work for the admin, maybe Brian can give you access to do it biggrin

Excellent idea Paul. As an experiment I just changed the forum picture header and it is easy enough. However, that facility is only available to the forum "owner".

The photo I used is 1074x300 but, ideally, we need a one-piece panoramic photo as Paul suggests. If anyone cares to PM me a link to a suitable photo - or post the pic up on here for me to copy - that would be great!

Any suggestions for a new forum title would also be appreciated.

Brian

...Ah, that's really great to hear my thoughts are initially going down well. I didn't want to push changing anything unless one and all were in agreement m0155.gif

Your efforts are already a fantastic improvement...much thanks Brian. Real bikes, with real friends, in real locations on adventure! The three shots nicely utilise the space avaiilable.

I have some friends that are into photography. I'm not sure how they'd feel about lending me a camera capable of panoramic and then slinging it around the trails m0161.gif , but i'll have a word over the coming months if i can.

In the mean time, i look forward to see everyones photos of their beloved bikes in action.

Great idea.

image.jpg                     Here's a bike in action. Mine! And me. Taken in the Spanish Pyreneese in 2012.

m0121.gif  Fantastic action shot Steve. Really beautiful back drop too. Thumbs up to rider and camera man. I shall put this one in my huge WR photo folder for screen savers.

Any chance you might have this sort of thing in wide angle/ panoramic? m01102.gif

Thanks for the comments.  I'll pass them on to the camera man, Mark.

Here's a couple more.  Not really action shots, but nice all the same.  I really, really love it over there in the mountains.  It's just so beautiful.

Blimey, two of my photos on the header.  The fame could go to my head! Thanks Brian.

whoo who... photos are flowing in and just found i have a panoramic setting on my cheap little camera. Along with the shot below of a WR in the states, it's all very inspiring.

Now if only that gale outside would just calm down a little, the fun and games of yet more fallen trees and flooding could commence juggle.gif
