I'm going to kick off a new topic on cheap and sometimes even free mods . They can be useful or simply just for aesthetics. In fact just about anything goes, as long as you feel that what you have done either improves the bike or rider, and that whatever materials might be needed, can be easily and cheaply f...
A truely heart warming advert from Yamaha. It really makes the hairs on your neck stand and gives a huge feeling of happiness and smiles. When you suddenly realise that the boy playing is being fantasticly choreographed with the guy on the bike, you begin to see what a superb piece of film this really is...
Got my V11 tax reminder for the WRR and went on line to tax it only to find the MOT had expired. I looked back and found that was indeed the case and it had expired on 18th December 2013! Not sure what went wrong there as I am usually very good with logging MOT expiry dates well in advance Anyways up, a quick ch...
I wonder if we could update the look of the forum a little and maybe consider a new main photgraph to replace the showroom stock bike we currently have? Something taken in wide angle panoramic to fit the kind of sized space we have instead of the square one. Also a bike actually in action out on adventure s...
Anyone tried an Eastern Beaver Circuit Solution such as the one below? By having the one fuse block, several electrical add ons like phone/ sat nav, additional lights ect, will hook up to the busy battery terminals via only one connection, saving space. This is a US product and i'm particularly intre...

Okay, so having taken a little stick from friends, family and now the forum , it was time to prove i could get dirty with the best of them and offer up a little proof of mud. Brian having mentioned it blowing a hooligan that night and that trees may fall, i took rather lightly being all the way over in Sussex....
Just doing our annual "Totally WRs" stock take and found some wavy discs that I had forgotten to add to our website. The Armstrong discs look very neat and have a good reputation. £40 for front or rear plus p&p. Cheaper than eBay See here for more details. Email here if you are intereste...
As we're in "the pub", thought i'd offer up this little gem to brighten your day and be sure to make you smile. I really mean it too. Bad day at work, car's broken down, fallen out with your other half, what ever the grief may be, spin this a couple of times and it will be sure to have you laughing ag...
I am Tim, a German, currently living in Vienna, Austria. I own a 2010 WRX, which became an R right at the dealership where I once bought it new. I've used the US forum so far, just now came across this WR forum and registered spontaneously.
Merry Christmas to one and all May next year bring plenty of ride time, sunshine and newbies to the forum. 2015 is to be the year of the European WRR forum! New folks, new trails, happy days

Does anyone know why this forum doesn't "remember me" when I log on? Each time I log on, I have to re enter my name and password and then always tick the remember me box. I then confirm the remember me request from my browser, but next time it's always back to the start again. My other activebo...

Well done Brian, for bringing the WRR forum back to life. Welcome to anyone browsing their way to this forum. Let's all try to make it work for us all. Steve
I have done some more research and the 5TA-13440-00 OEM oil filter was replaced by 5D3-13440-09. There is some confusion on the internet with both the Filtrex OIF059 and OIF031 being quoted as the correct part e.g. some owners on a WR250R forum say use the HF141 oil filter whose equivalent is the Fil...
Off to the Pyrenees this summer to do a coast to coast route over the mountains. Carrying luggage can be a pain, done it enough with sports bikes and seen plenty of dropped kit, bungies break and straps dangling in wheels Given a fair chunk is off road I've gone for the Wolfman pannier frames which I saw on...
Hi I'm considering getting a larger tank for my trip to the Pyrenees, has any one got one of the IMS 3 gallon tanks installed? What range does it give you before and after the reserve light comes on. Thanks
Hi All, The OE plastic case saver is rubbish and would not be of any use should the chain break or derail. Does anyone know where I can get a steel case saver in the uk? I've seen the Sandman ones and they look well made and stylish. Is there a uk supplier or should I buy direct from USA? Not done that befor...
Hey ya guys, My name is Paul and i'm obviously now sporting the finest 2 wheels known to man, the WRR . I passed over the forum about 6 months ago due to a seemingly low number of inmates and interest compared to our American cousins. I have since decided that if everyone took that attitude, this potential...
I have read a few articles on how to lower the WRR using the adjustment at the bottom of the shock. The last guide (see below) suggest that you don't have to undo the lower shock mount. Is that because you can spin the shock body? Lowering the seat heightThe first mod I usually do is to lower the seat height...
Slight staining but the foam is in excellent condition. These foam aren't available separately from Yamaha - you can only buy the complete seat. This foam was removed to allow a special seat to be built. If you are interested in it please send me an offer by PM. Cost of p&p within the UK would be £5 Br...
A word of warning to the unwary! I've just fitted a new enduro pattern tyre to my bike. The 120/100 18 size replaces a 120/90 18. That extra bit of depth (height) might not sound like much, but in reality it's a LOT different. Consequently, my new chain that was cut to length to fit the old tyre is too sho...
Here are a couple of photos of my 2009 WR250R. It's pretty standard with the exception of:a tail tidy, small rear rack (which doubles as grab bars),Renthal Dakar High bars,Longer throttle and clutch cablesSymtec heated grips,Zeta handguards with built in indicators The WRR came with a very loud FM...
