Hi everyone I have been a TTR owner for a few years now and a great fan of the bike, so much so that I am buying Totally TTRs along with Totally WRs from Brian (with his blessing). My wife and I have decided that we would like to carry on all the good work that Brian and Trish have done I am hoping that with your su...
Hello to all avid greenlaners, Having been a member of the TRF for a good year or so, i have found trying to gain GPX map files of track loops through different counties, like trying to get blood from a stone . I know East Sussex very well, but would love to collect up a few more different counties such as W...
So far I have noticed that the URL to the front page photo has broken and I will fix it as soon as I recall how to do it! If anyone spots any other peculiarities relating to my WR web pages please let me know! Brian PS I really shouldn't mess with things I don't understand!
Hello all Just come back from a TRF trip to Yorkshire. Went up with a CRF250X and came back with a WR250R. Wanted one for sometime. Bought up trail riding on TTR's and just love the smoothness and feel of the Yamaha's in general. The Honda is lighter and more powerful but just not so gentle as the WR. The oth...

Forgive me father for I have sinned, I have owned my 2008 WR250R for about two months and this weekend was the first time that I took it out. The reasons were many fold, it needed a few jobs done, then a second bike came in that needed work and the family always need me the list goes on. However at the end of the...
Hi all after my first ride out I have to say how impressed I am with this bike. The best bit was the top speed 199KPH and it feels solid at that, it might be that that the speedo is a little out and after looking on line there could be an issue does any one know a fix for it ?
tried to get a 21 inch wheel for my x but no luck. so have just had a 21 inch rim spoked to my x hub seems to have sorted that problem, be better off road ready for the hiss event in spain at the end of may.
Anyone know where I can get some bike specific tank graphics for my 250r? The original ones are useless and have been jet washed off. Someone told me that's because of the strange plastic that Yamaha use. Any help please?
Hi all I want to change my spark plug can anyone tell me what the tourqe settings are for putting them back in as I'm struggling to find correct settings and don't want my tank falling off cheers martin
I think I may have mentioned Devon TRF Group's annual Axe-to-Exe (A2E) trail riding weekend before but, anyways up, it happened over the weekend. I was volunteered to lead a group and my brother Trev to be my help. A surprise visit from my son Matt resulted in a rapid bike build and he ended up riding my WR...
Ok its not my bike (M nI want to tidy it up first ) but I found this mouse nest in my leg armour last night. I think its a sign I need to get out and ride more often .

So with a sunny day on the cards and last weeks trails still fresh in my mind, work took a back seat for the day. After reaching the first lane and then realising that i was out of jungle juice, i quickly doubled back to a garage not to far away before the fun could begin. Thankfully i noticed before i got to co...
The plan for the day was to ride the whole of my A2E route but, it didn't quite work out... The forecast was for sunny intervals and showers and that's exactly what we had but, fortunately, no heavy showers. Just Trev and I today. Late start - had to do a few minor repairs so didn't get away until 11am and a 12...
A massive thank you to SteveT for organising this ride out which for me was my first ride out and I'm still smiling (and my arms are still aching). Grassroots was there as well and we had a great days riding and fantastic company (thank you to Martin KTM and Trevor Honda). I was really impressed with the Ga...
Devon TRF Group is hosting its annual trail riding event (the Axe to Exe) in a couple of weekend's time and I am likely to be called upon to guide a group of visitors along with my brother Trev who will be my TEC (Tail End Charlie). Trev hasn't been out on the lanes since our trail riding trip to France last Ju...
I know this is totally opposite to what most owners do to their WRRs but I love how civilised the bike is and would like to get mine fully back to standard. When I bought it, it had an FMF exhaust on it and most of the emissions kit removed as far as I can tell. It spluttered a bit from cold plus the exhaust was to...
See here The article suggest that the recall only affects American models. Anyone know if the UK model is unaffected for sure? Brian PS I have emailed Yamaha UK customer services to ask the question!
Hi all I have recently fitted 13t front and 48t rear sprockets to me wr250r I'm pretty happy with results but was wondering what difference a 14t front sprocket would make ie is it a lot slower acceleration/top end ect any advice would be welcome cheers martin
Hi All, Picked up my WR 2 weeks ago and jetted of to Mexico the next day, just got back today and went down to the garage to bring a smile to my face, as you can tell from my username the bike is a 2008 import from the USA With a silver frame.
