So with a sunny day on the cards and last weeks trails still fresh in my mind, work took a back seat for the day.
After reaching the first lane and then realising that i was out of jungle juice, i quickly doubled back to a garage not to far away before the fun could begin. Thankfully i noticed before i got to complacent and stranded myself as that would have been embarrassing to have had to admit to .
As i reached the area of Folkington, i started to think of the fun and games i had last year when i found myself stuck down somewhat of a ski slope, trapped in by a fallen tree. As i dropped into the said lane i turned a couple of bends and low and behold, history repeats itself with my old nemesis striking again! This time the tree had caught itself up on the trees opposite meaning i could just squeeze under it with no problems.
Having had a bite to eat at a nice little cafe i found in Alfriston, i pushed on with the sun high and feeling as though i didn't have a care in the world. It's fantastic what a good ride does for the mind, body and soul.
The spring season really has probably become my favorite of all. Bright skies, everything in nature bouncing back to life and yet tons of deep mud and water to keep it exciting and interesting. On to the area of such challenges i went and nailed every stream crossing without incident .
Come the end of the day, exhausted but carrying a huge grin, I'd covered 65 miles of pure fun and adrenaline. If only i could be free to spend everyday like this .
Fantastic day to have been out on the lanes and good for you that you grabbed the opportunity!
My day was spent getting my TTR MOTd and set up for me to use at the weekend's A2E event here in Devon. My son is visiting and being a good 4" taller than me gets to ride the WRR!
What a lovely way to be able to come over to England for a holiday... a super clean WRR ready and waiting. I hope you have a fantastic time out adventuring together.
He is not travelling far. Whilst his home and family live in Spain now, Matt still works as a sound engineer over in the UK. Does a sort of 4 weeks on and one week off sort of thing
The bikes are just about ready now other than I need to look at the horn on the WRR as it sounds proper poorly at the moment
