Just doing mine too. The intention was to take apart, grease and reassemble. It didn't turn out like that! I knew before getting it all apart that the swinging arm had too much play, so new bearings there then.
I didn't realise though that the swinging arm shaft was going to be so reluctant to come out! Heat and "persuasion" eventually sorted that out! The linkage bearings were all shot too. Some bone dry, rusty and falling apart, one was ok but will be replaced anyway.
Waiting for the parts to arrive now before I can reassemble.
Lesson to self; don't wait so long between servicing.
(My old Suzuki DR350 had grease nipples in all the right places and never had any problems in this area the entire time I owned it, which was more than 10 years)
A lesson there for all of us - service the linkage and swingarm bearings at least annually and more frequently if riding in wet muddy conditions - especially if the WRR gets put away wet!
Linkage bearings lasted two years, swinging arm 7 years. Swinging arm bolt came out ok (ish)
That's the first time I've changed any of them, and the bike's 7 years old now. The linkage bearings were well shot though. Passed the MoT yesterday so must have done something right.
By the way, do you think I need the front sprocket cover on for an MoT? I always put it on, but often take it off for using the bike. (With a case saver in place though, just in case... It's happened to me before that I've broken a chain out riding.
I never fit the front sprocket cover, makes cleaning easier. Never been an MOT issue on any of my trail bikes during the past twenty years. (touch wood)

Same here but not sure what the MOT rules are and whether an officious tester could take offence!
