Hello I have just fitted 13t front and 48t rear sprockets with a 112 link renthal r3 chain all went OK but I had to unscrew rear axle adjusters out about 25mm about 3x the length that they were with the standard set up is this normal on a wr250r 2008 to get chain correct length if anyone can advise it will be appreciated thanks martin

Chain adjustment position is infinitely variable depending on your front/rear sprocket ratio.  Could you take a link out by putting the adjusters fully in?  If not, then what you have is fine.

Hey Yammy,

I have 13t 48t with 112 link chain. Using Apico after market axle blocks though and so experience no issues. Additionally i have replaced the locking nuts with M8 1.25 pitch nyloc nuts on back to front which hold perfectly tight.

Hope that's of some help.

Paul.

That's a good idea!  (using a nylock nut).  I'll do that too.
