Can only find them on sale in the States.

Do any footpegs from other bikes fit and, if so, which ones please?

Brian

m0177.gif  guys,

I don't know if anyone is still searching for foot pegs, but i just stumbled upon a chap with a seemingly great reputation in the Czech Republic. He custom makes all sorts of pegs and has plenty of experience with the quirks of our beloved WR .

This is a link to the forum where i found him...   http://wr250rforum.forumotion.com/t8177-footpegs-for-wr250r   ....His email is in there for contact.

If you read down the page to one of his first happy WR customers, you'll notice in the photos that he has taken into account the problem with the peg folding back and interfering with the brake. Looks like top quality work and really well thought out. I'll be sure to try and chase him down come early summer when i've saved a bit more cash for such farkles.

I had been meaning to post some shots having purchased footpegs from Raden in the Czech Republic but have been riding so much that i totally forgot smile.

Much wider and i had made about 5mm lower to help with my height. They are great quality and the service and speed from Raden was superb...nice guy.

It was previously mentioned about the issue of the right peg folding back and hitting the brake pedal. I still found this to be a minor problem but easily over came it by taking a small crescent of a washer i cut and using instant gasket silicone to stick it behind where the heal of the peg clashes. Two months on now and it's happy days. You can just see the tip of the washer in the photo at about 2 o'clock from the torx bolt head.

Pegs use the existing mounts and springs and are quick and easy to fit. They cost me about £54 including shipping if i remember correctly. All round very happy. A much appreciated mod already. Sitting riding anywhere has become very much a thing of the past biggrin.
