Hi, does the o-ring need to be replaced when changing the oil filter?

I didn't replace mine on the last oil and filter change and assumed the O ring just carried on in service until you lost or damaged it - am I wrong confuse

Same as you Brian.  They don't come with the filter, although the manuals always say change them.

If they are undamaged, they normally last years.
