Do you use an fmf programmer with the exhaust system?
Hi Adam.
I don't use any programer as the air intake system has been left as standard.
I have also removed the exup, the a.i.s system and O2 sensor.
With the exup removal you need to fit a relay in it's place to stop the malfunction light from coming on.You could just remove the cables and leave the main unit in place.
The a.i.s system is in place to help with emissions/catalyst operation,so is not needed with the FMF exhaust.
The O2 sensor has to be removed. The Yank WR's don't have an exhaust sensor,so there is no fitting on the pipe for it.It's not a major problem to make one,but it's really not needed.I have done a few plug chops to put my mind at rest and every thing is fine.
Seat of the pants dyno....
The bike runs loads better ,no extra top end performance as the intake is standard, but a better throttle response and a nice kick at low rev's...perfect for trail riding.
So I take it the fmf exhaust doesn't come with a cut out for the exup valve anyway? I am really tempted to get an exhaust for mine but can't justify the large price tag of a new system! Good luck with selling your bike by the way, what bike are you looking for next?

Thanks Adam.
I want to go for an adventure type bike next as I've got a few longer trips planned over the next few years.Mind you....If the WR does not sell, then It's a new long range tank, new seat, some sort of screen and a set of panniers and frames....and on....and on
