happy new year all , I was looking forward to my first ride yesterday only to find the WRR would not start she would spin over slowly and the fuel pump runs but she would not start. I charged the battery over night but still no joy today the lights dim down when the starter spins .
Bad luck Jono! I had the same yesterday. Got all dressed up to take the bike out and battery dead flat! It's been on charge for a day now (Optimate) so should be OK except that I got diverted into little DIY jobs that seems to take an age despite being apparently simple
Have you got another 12V battery and a set of jump leads to try with? That would let you know if the battery might be duff. Else, just check all the terminals are clean and tight on the battery and solenoid.
Thanks Brian Im going to have another look tonight when I get home. Im going to get a new battery for it the one that it came with is a Rob Hunter one and I never trust them. I hope its just a case of the starter taking little out of the spark which is why she won't start . I really miss my WR450 that kick start was a god send, I sort of like the simple life as well just thinking what could be at fault on the WRR is a bit scary .
