Hi all I have recently fitted 13t front and 48t rear sprockets to me wr250r I'm pretty happy with results but was wondering what difference a 14t front sprocket would make ie is it a lot slower acceleration/top end ect any advice would be welcome cheers martin

Hi ya Martin,

...Yep, as you guessed. Slightly less low end, slightly more top end.

12t C.S seems to cut into the WR's swing arm.
13t C.S with a larger rear sprocket to help the low end is most popular.
14t C.S can start to rub the Sandman case saver up a little if you have one installed.

I happen to also run 13/ 48 like yourself and love it. I have heard you could always go up to around a 51t rear sprocket if you felt the need and didn't want to increase the 13t C.S.
