Wolfman does seem to be the way, particulary for carrying on longer adventures. Giant Loop also look interesting as they don't require a rack. Maybe better suited for the shorter weekend trips. I'm not sure how i'd like everything slung into the one huge bag that it is, as might take a while to find things. I sure could be tempted with the old wolfies i think. Both companies bags remind me of the dry bags we'd use for our personal gear scuba diving. If the wolfmans work as well, could be just the ticket. Anyone have any feed back on how well they stand up after a seasons worth of falls?...lol.
Don't know about the panniers but my Wolfman enduro tank bag has had a lot of wear and taken a lot of knocks as I use it on both the WRR and the TTR and the zip and straps (the usual weak points in luggage) are doing well.
I don't like wearing a rucksack or bumbag and prefer the bike to carry the weight itself so you can see from the pic below that there isn't any spare room in the tankbag usually!
I have also used a Wolfman front mudguard bag for a couple of years and it still looks like new!
I agree, it's a no no for rucksacks. I always want to take one and don't mind wearing it, but fear what ever is inside it may well break my back should i have a major spill.
+1 on the Wolfman front fender bag for being 2 yrs and still looking new. The tank bag's looking good too for something that can take a bit of abuse being constantly taken on and off and also thrown around.
